Riley — AI Mission Control
The front-desk AI that triages, routes to specialists, and drafts on demand. Honest about being AI. Never pretends to be a real person.
What it is
Riley is the front-desk AI built into the Iron Front dashboard. When you ask a question, Riley either answers directly or routes you to the right specialist (Sophia for design, Tyler for SEO, Elena for leads, Olivia for social, Priya for reputation, David for email/copy). Riley NEVER pretends to be human — every interaction is upfront about being AI. The chat widget on /dashboard is Mission Control under the hood.
Customers who need quick answers about their Iron Front account, want a draft email or LinkedIn post in 30 seconds, or are wrestling with which specialist to ask for help. Useful for internal team brainstorming too.
Why it matters
The specific outcomes this capability is designed to produce — and the failure modes it's designed to prevent.
Routes to the right specialist instantly
Each Iron Front specialist (Sophia, Tyler, Elena, Olivia, Priya, David, Aaron the founder) has scoped expertise. Riley reads your question and points you at the right one — or drafts the answer themselves if it's general enough. No more 'who do I ask for help with X?'
Always identifies as AI
We deliberately broke the 'pretend to be a human assistant' pattern. Riley is named, the chat widget says 'Mission Control · AI,' and the system prompt forbids 'I'm here to help' / 'as your assistant' framing. Honest AI builds trust faster than dishonest AI.
Drafts on demand — emails, posts, replies
Ask Riley to draft a customer-facing email, a LinkedIn post about a customer win, or a reply to a tough support question. Drafts are voice-grounded (read your voice profile + knowledge vault) and you stay in control of what gets sent.
Summarizes anything in your dashboard
Paste a long thread, a CSV, a financial spreadsheet, an audit result — Riley summarizes the actionable parts. Useful for 'what should I focus on this week?' questions when you're staring at too many open metrics.
How it works
From "I want to use this" to "it's running in production for me," in 4 steps.
Open the chat widget at /dashboard
Bottom-right of every dashboard page. Click to expand. Chat history persists across sessions.
Ask anything
Questions about your account, requests for drafts, summary of metrics, "what should I do this week" — all valid. Riley either answers or routes.
Riley drafts or routes
For specialist-grade questions ("write me a sales email" / "audit this URL" / "what's wrong with my warm-market funnel"), Riley hands off with a clean handoff message + recommended next step.
Action on the answer
Riley's drafts are in your dashboard's clipboard or available as a "Send via Email" button. You decide what gets actioned.
Questions
Is Riley a real person?+
No. Riley is an AI persona built on Claude. We chose to name and personality-ize the AI rather than make it an anonymous "assistant" because it's easier to relate to a named character. But the bot is upfront about being an AI on every interaction.
Will Riley send emails on my behalf?+
Drafts only — never auto-sends to customers. For internal/admin operations (auto-publish to your connected FB Page, sending audit-result emails to leads you've approved), the system has separate paths that DO send. But Riley as a chat character drafts; you click Send.
How is Riley different from Mission Control / the AI assistant?+
Same thing — different framing. 'Riley' is the persona name; 'Mission Control' is what the chat widget displays as the surface name. The IFD specialist roster (Sophia / Tyler / Elena / etc.) are also AI personas, each scoped to a specific domain. Riley is the front-desk router.
Can Riley access my customer data?+
Riley reads your voice profile, knowledge vault, and recent activity (audits, social posts, sequence enrollments) to ground responses in your actual context. We don't share this with other customers; it's scoped to your user_id.
What if Riley gives me wrong information?+
AI hallucinates sometimes. Riley's prompt explicitly forbids inventing facts about your account ('don't fabricate revenue numbers, don't make up customer names, never invent a feature that doesn't exist'). When Riley doesn't know, the prompt instructs honest 'I don't have that data — check /admin/this-week.' If you spot a hallucination, screenshot to support; we tune the prompt.
