What it is

Lead Finder is a multi-source local-business search that merges Yelp and Google Places results, deduplicates by name + phone, and trust-scores every lead against signals like website reachability, rating quality, review count, and contact-data completeness. Used at /dashboard/leads for ad-hoc searches; cron-fed for tier-capped weekly digest delivery (starter=10 leads, growth=20, scale=40, enterprise=60).

Who it's for

Service-business operators who need a steady stream of local prospects to pitch (Iron Front Sites, agency services, partnerships). Agency owners running outbound campaigns to local-business prospects.

Why it matters

The specific outcomes this capability is designed to produce — and the failure modes it's designed to prevent.

Merged Yelp + Google data, deduplicated

Yelp gives you review depth; Google contributes website (Yelp paywalls it). We merge results from both, dedupe by (name + last-7-of-phone), and combine fields. You get fuller records than either source alone.

Trust score per lead

Each lead scored 0-100 on data signals (phone present, website reachable in <3s, rating ≥4.0, reviews ≥10). Used to filter the top-trust leads from the noise. The score logic lives in lib/lead-trust.ts; deterministic.

Weekly digest tied to your saved ICP

Set your ICP at /onboarding (target industries + cities + monthly lead goal). The lead-delivery cron fires Mondays at 9am ET, runs Yelp + Google searches against your saved ICP, and emails you a Tyler-voiced digest. Tier-capped: starter=10, growth=20, scale=40, enterprise=60.

On-demand searches at /dashboard/leads

Need to research a specific city/industry combo right now? On-demand searches are tier-capped per hour but always available. Same merged sources, same trust scoring.

How it works

From "I want to use this" to "it's running in production for me," in 4 steps.

STEP 01

Set your ICP at /onboarding

Pick target industries (HVAC, plumber, salon, etc.) + target cities + monthly lead goal + primary goal. Saved to customer_icp; drives the weekly digest.

STEP 02

Receive your weekly digest

Mondays at 9am ET. Email from Elena (the Lead Finder specialist) with the top-N leads matched to your ICP. Each lead has business name, phone, website, address, trust score, and quick-win notes.

STEP 03

On-demand searches anytime

At /dashboard/leads, run ad-hoc searches by city + industry. Tier-limited per hour. Results merge Yelp + Google, dedupe, score, render with action buttons (Open website, Save lead, Email pitch, etc.).

STEP 04

Pitch with the included tools

Saved leads land in your prospect pipeline. Use the audit tool to score their site, the audit-email path to send a personalized follow-up, and the Iron Front Sites flow if their site fails the audit.

Questions

Where does the data come from?+

Two sources merged: Yelp Fusion API + Google Places API. We pay for both. Records get cross-validated (a lead present in both sources usually has more complete data than one in only one source).

How accurate is the data?+

Phone numbers and addresses are usually accurate (both sources keep them current). Websites can be stale — businesses change domains and don't update Yelp listings. We surface the website if found and audit-flag if it 404s.

Can I export leads to CSV?+

Yes. /dashboard/leads has a CSV export button. Includes all fields (name, phone, address, website, rating, review count, trust score). Use for outbound campaigns or CRM imports.

What's the difference between Lead Finder and the leads at /dashboard/warm-market?+

Lead Finder = COLD prospects (local businesses you don't know). Warm-market = WARM contacts (people you already know — friends, family, prior coworkers, FB friends). Different surfaces, different data sources, different scripts.

Does Lead Finder include B2B prospects (Apollo data)?+

Apollo integration exists for admin probes and contact-by-name lookups, but the basic-plan API paywalls all org/contact data behind unlock credits. /dashboard/leads is local-SMB focused (Yelp + Google) for general use. B2B contact lookup is a separate, lower-volume surface.
